| Abstract | |
Oral health reflects an individual’s overall health and quality of life. The “Global Burden of Disease Study-2017” estimated oral diseases in 3.5 billion people worldwide.1 Oral diseases are treated by the dentists. The need, demand, and supply of dentists vary among the countries and more specifically the regions or locations within the country. The dentist-to-population (DtP) ratio or synonymously population-to-dentist ratio is the key indicator of the dental service data and workforce count in a country. This editorial discusses the DtP ratio scenario of Nepal. |
